Students examine forms of artistic expression, past and present, from a variety of cultures. They learn to look at works of art critically, with intelligence and sensitivity, and to analyze what they see. No prior experience in art history is necessary for students taking this course. It does require a high degree of commitment to academic work and to the rigors of college standards.
